ITS TIME FOR BLACKBERRY 10

Blackberry has been the epitome of a business smartphone for some time now. But over the past few years, the Canadian firm manufacturing it, Research in Motion (RIM), has lost precious ground to emerging mobile operating systems such as Apple's iOS and Google's Android in terms of sheer innovation.

THE WITCHER 2:ASSASSINS OF KINGS GAME REVIEW

Geralt of Rivia is no ordinary protagonist. A battle-worn Witcher, he is an alchemist, a mage and a craftsman, in addition to being a skilled swordsman. Yet underneath all the fantasy lies a character that is more human than Witcher.

The Next Level: Car-nage

Twisted Metal is the eighth instalment in the vehicular combat series of the same name and the first on the PS3 from acclaimed game designer David Jaffe. Jaffe, who is well-known for his work in God of War and God of War II, had worked on six previous iterations of Twisted Metal on the PSOne and PS2 and, in appropriate fashion, brings everything fans know and love about the series to the latest outing. But is the price (Rs. 2,199 in India) an indicator of value, or of sub-par production values, a next-gen Twisted Metal experience on a budget, if you will?
The game has a lot going for it, but single player experience isn't one of them. Start the story mode and you're introduced to Sweet Tooth, a deranged murderer who plays dress-up as a clown with a flaming head. The first story arc follows him and his hunt for (spoiler alert) his daughter, who is the last surviving member of his family whom he has methodically murdered in gruesome fashion. Somehow this is tied into the overall story of a tournament involving car battles organised by a strange chap called Calypso. It doesn't make much sense and the cutscenes (featuring touched-up full motion video) are wasted on the player. There are three such arcs and everything just comes off feeling forced and convoluted.

DRDO test-flies second indigenous AEWACS aircraft in Brazil

Achieving a major milestone, India has successfully carried out the maiden test flight of its second indigenous Airborne Early Warning and Control System aircraft in Brazil, the DRDO said on Thursday.
The successful flight is seen as a major boost as the aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in June to the IAF.
“The necessary mission systems and components including the dummy Active Antenna Array Unit are successfully fitted onboard Embraer EMB 145I aircraft and the flight was held at 1930 hours on April 4, 2012 at the San Jose dos Campos in Brazil,” DRDO spokesperson Ravi Gupta said in a release.
India is working on an indigenous programme to develop ’eyes in the sky’ using the Brazil aircraft as the platform for the radar.

DRDO chief V. K. Saraswat complimented the team working on the project and admired its efforts.
“Apart from the external mission systems developed indigenously and fitted on this aircraft, rest of the internal systems will be integrated into the aircraft on arrival to India.

BenQ Joybee GP2 Projector Review

BenQ Joybee GP2 Projector
In between chunky, Full HD home theatre-projectors and tiny, pocket sized Pico projectors is a new, growing category – the palmtop projector. These projectors incorporate features of the other two mentioned categories – good image quality coupled with easy portability, and they find a fit both in the home and the office. BenQ, a leading brand in projectors has launched the Joybee GP2 palmtop projector. Successor to the highly popular and award winning Joybee GP1, this palmtop brings better resolution, an iPod/Phone dock and an array of connectivity ports.

First look
Although looks aren't the primary focus for most projectors, the Joybee GP2 delights with its sophisticated, sleek look. Weighing in at about 1.2 pounds (approximately half a kg), it's extremely portable. The projector even ships with a cute little case to prevent it from getting scratched. The glossy black top is prone to smudges but that doesn't take the attention away from the control area in the centre. Arranged in a circle, the Joybee GP2's controls are touch-sensitive and LED backlit. It also comes with an additional battery for continuous use up to 3 hours, although this would add to the weight. The battery pack snaps on underneath the projector via a port on the underside.
The USP of this projector is definitely the plethora of connectivity options. Apart from the iPod/iPhone dock on the top, there's also an SD card slot at the rear. Turn it to the side and you'll find a full-sized USB port (it can play files directly off a USB drive, a Micro HDMI slot (the projector ships with a handy Micro HDMI to HDMI connector) and a Mini USB slot (which lets you hook up your laptop or PC to it). There's also a provision to add Composite via an included cable. There are 3.5mm jacks for audio in and out, in addition to the 2 watt stereo speakers built in to the projector. Another handy feature: the Joybee GP2 has 2GB of internal memory.
At the bottom of the projector is a metal screw-in to attach a tripod. And if you're not looking for some heavy angling, the Joybee GP2 has a tiny screw-out stand which allows you to adjust its tilt and height.

JLab Audio B-FLEX X-Bass USB Laptop Speaker Review

A few weeks back, we first featured JLab Audio’s GO MP3 Player and it was a good product overall. It did what it was supposed to at an alright cost. This time around, JLab Audio once again returns with a product that’s not as far off as their waterproof player but is still as valuable based on its intended operation. For those that bring laptops and netbooks around all the time, it is common knowledge that speakers of these gadgets are not of the best kind, as they’re clearly meant for personal use and manufacturers assume that headphones would be more practical. But for those situations that laptop audio is a necessity and the built-in speakers suck, then JLab Audio has something in their sleeve to offer. Today’s review will focus on JLab Audio’s B-FLEX X-Bass USB Laptop Speakers.
